Totally agree!!!! I’m the last year of the “baby boomer” era. I’m getting screwed as well. I want to retire but I can’t really see how I can.

I agree it’s not good for younger generations but we just lived our lives. My husband and I worked in social services with abused children, we saved and barely made it month to month. Our house appreciated through nothing we did. After working over 30 yrs we had enough to retire on because our employees took money out of each paycheck towards retirement. We were lucky but not sure what we personally could have done differently. Our daughter is a teacher and her husband is an elevator mechanic. They paid $450 for first house. As well as extremely high day care costs, and car loans. They are doing fine now. As they hit 40. It took us until about 45 to be in the black. 🤷♀️🤷♀️.

As a 70 year-old boomer, I kind of take offense to what you’re saying…we worked hard all our lives for everything we had. Both of us just had a high school diploma. My husband would work two or three jobs so we could afford a home for our kids, we did the best we could. We (average schmucks) have nothing to do with the way the world is right now. I don’t like the fact that boomers are getting blamed for everything when it’s corporate America. I agree with everyone in Congress is too old, absolutely, but that’s not my fault. I haven’t voted for these old farts in years. We definitely need younger leaders.
