I had the sheriff come to my ranch in Southern Nevada because they were uncomfortable with horses not having air conditioning! We have misters around every stall and a sprinkler in the arena. They then called the sheriff about us wasting water! The sheriff never came out again on these crazy calls.

My father got a summons for his rooster crossing the property line and had to go to court over it. It was dismissed and entertained the court that morning…..it’s been 30 years and it still hilarious to me

Not agriculture but my dog used to love playing with a plastic watering can. He’d toss it in the air and chase it by himself….. apparently a neighbor behind us felt it was a problem bc it made noise when it hit the ground (plastic on grass? How loud can that be?) and they called the cops.

We live in a country town but have 1 acre lots in our neighborhood. One day, I had a black horse hanging out in my driveway, but wouldn’t let me get close enough. The neighbor it belonged to had to call friends to help get her back, she was not having it. The moment someone was close, she would bolt, like haha can’t catch me! The tacky neighbor down the street watching all of us try to catch it involved the sheriff and he clearly was like, this is just a horse that wants to be free!
