It’s so interesting that she says in her Jay Shetty interview (not sure if she said the same thing in her Call Her Daddy interview), that she is not stuck at home in the kitchen. We knew that all along too, she is however glamourizing the idea of being predominantly in the kitchen as a wife. At the very least that part she could have understood. What you say about the stay at home girlfriends and the dependency (mostly on a male partner) is so so true and so so dangerous. That doesn’t mean that being in charge of running a household is wrong, it just means that you should make sure you are financially stable in case you separate. Nara is also a model and is building an empire, that is not what she is selling to her mass of followers. That’s fine, but the defensiveness in these interviews is just, interesting?

Absolutely not the same thing in any way—one is a performance, a pantomime of an image that is itself warped, and has given the performer incredible money and power

I’ve never heard her mention any non-Family member watching her kids or any hired help in any way whatsoever when I’m sure she has tons of it. She says she splits the work 50-50 with her husband. And he’s watching them while she’s filming for hours. No way he’s doing that without the help of others.

Seemingly the friction is coming from learned helplessness, & that the connotations most people have of propaganda don’t outline Nara’s content as the site for such.

She’s not changing her style though……. there’s no “rebrand” she’s been saying the same thing the ENTIRE time. She also did show her other lifestyle aspects, and there is no “management” or “caretakers” lmfao she does everything on her own and there’s nothing unrealistic about it for someone with time, money and beauty.

There are literally young girls and women that quite jobs and school because they thought they would be tradwives, they influenced naïve ones to give up on their road to financial independence

Why is it so hard to understand trad wife influencers of today is the same as housewife advertising of 1950s. Those women were rich, they were not childbearing and they were not cooking and cleaning. They were drunk and medicated. It was all a lie to manipulate white women to stay home after the 1940s where they had to work historically male jobs bc of the war. The same thing is happening today. These influencers are contributing to the narrative of women should not go to college, women should not work, women should look a certain way. 🙄🙄
