Petty finger :
Once my husband started treating me as another annoyance or task to be tolerated, I stopped trying to initiate anything and the relationship quickly died.

I used to be in a career couple - after 20 years together, my ex-husband started giving me “performance reviews” on my ‘work’ as a wife 😳

technology has allowed us to advance cognitively and materially faster than we’ve advanced emotionally. technology didn’t just automate our work. It industrialized our free time. The hours technology saved became opportunities for more emails, more tasks, more more

The most common cause relationship failure among two otherwise decent adults is over commitment to outside things: career, raising children, sport, church, dissociative entertainment, etc. Sometimes one or both partners don’t actually want a real relationship. More often, at least one person does want a relationship but both have allowed over commitment drift.

Well I guess, this is most responsible adult couple does decision. I would choose that over almost killing each and traumatized their children before they realized to divorce.

Yeah well I know loads of women who tried to engage their husbands in conversation: about their day, life, chat about travel, the weekend, what friends are up to - and the body language was so rude, the facial expressions so uninterested, or the responses full of nothing short of corrections and competition , that she gave up. Yes I’m talking about myself but when I discussed this with all my female friends they nearly all (except 2) rolled their eyes and said “same”. So women stop talking but not after a long period of trying.
