@dra_says: This can be a useful medication, however it can come with some very serious side effects and not everyone has a benefit, so it really needs to be discussed in detail with a doctor.
Duloxentine was the worse medication I took awful side effects.

I've just had to come off duloxatine! OMG PLEASE DO THAT SLOWLY! The side affects I had (and wasn't warned about) were absolutely vile! I was getting hundreds of brain zaps a day from any sort of motion including eye movements! I was petrified before I was told what they were ( by chat gpt) my gp said she'd never heard of brain zaps as a result of coming off duloxatine! I fear I was told to come off them far too quickly after being on them for many years, I was told to stop by gp less than a month after 1 lowered dose! Its been nearly 4 weeks now and still getting brain zaps, not as often or severe but still going!😭My mood is very low & all over the place, crying at anything, both happy & sad. Vivid dreams, nausia & headaches! Anxiety is through the roof! I hope it all gets better but please be aware!

It amazes me that drs will give this medications and others similar out without hesitation but when it comes to opiates that have far fewer side effects it’s a blanket no and lecture on addiction, yet these are worse

do NOT miss a dose.... found out a couple times when I forgot to take it... the brain zaps, dizzyniss and nausea the next day are horrible.. atleast for me..
but, I was switched from sertraline to duloxetine due to also having fibro. my mood is stabler on this then it has been on sertraline + I do notice effects in pain management, so,, a win-win for me.. as long as I don't forget to take a dose 😅

That medication is no good, and you mention all the side effects plus withdrawal symptoms and someone who has fibromyalgia with all those fibro symptoms that come with it is supposed to take that. Thanks, but no thank you

Can't believe you are recommending duloxetine. It's our worst choice than gabapentin. the side effects of duloxetine are horrific and never mind the withdrawal you suffer when you try to come off it. Irrational crying, brains zaps, emotional outbursts, nausea, not wanting to get out of bed, I had to do the 5% taper because I felt so ill, shaking like a junkie coming off it.
