@this_norway_guy: I can honestly say that the roads in the European parts of Russia are normal standards. I have travelled thousands of kilometers in European Russia several times before and i cant complain on the road standard. The worst i have seen so far was the road to Кемр that i must say could use some repairs. But we should keep in mind that in my home country Norway, the roads in some areas are also notoriously bad.. 📍 Karelia

Roads in far east are worse, but not all roads. I think the harsher climate and super long distances mean they are much harder to maintain.

Nye veier i norge legges med 2 lag som regel. Et for bæring og et lag oppå der igjen, «slitedekke», altså det som blir skrapt og asfaltert på nytt når det øverste dekket må byttes, så det er tykt dekke her til lands å.
