you should have just given them a base allowance that covers their daily expenses and then given bonuses if they did harder, or extra work if you were actually trying to implement socialism. all socialism really is, is holding the wealthy accountable.

That technically doesn’t mean anything about socialism, as equal wages isn’t tied to any economic system. Socialism is (in my sense of understanding) when the people of employment get paid but is taxed with a small spoonful, in which then that money is primarily used for public resources like hospitals and the education system. As Of course they aren’t always free

that would be an interesting lesson if anyone was advocating for creating a system like that. you might also do a couple weeks under a system where you charge them for everything, and then raise the prices every week to extract as much money from them as you can,vuntil they have nothing left. show them what late-stage capitalism brings.
