please DO NOT make medical decisions based on tik tok or reddit. I tried topamax, i couldnt handle the side effects. others tolerate it great. the only way you will know which one you are, is to try it. start low and slow and work your way up. you can always stop

topamax made me loose my eyesight and go blind. ended up with optic nerve damage and acute angled closed glaucoma. I still dont have sight in my left eye.

After you have been on it a few months, you will be able to drink soda again. If you have severe Migraines, it is worth it.

Been on it for 10 years. I don’t miss soda, but I do miss being able to use my brain. It’s terrible when I can’t think of the name of an item in my hand, or can’t remember something. I’m not old enough to be this forgetful yet.

I started mine and took it in the morning. It made me soo tired like could barely function. Or keep my eyes open and it killed soda for me. I will never drink soda again. I can’t get the chemical taste out of but it did work!

It’s a stone causing medicine. Even though my daughter’s kidney function was “fine” via a blood test, on the day she titrated up to full dose she had horrible pain. Kidney stone and gallstone diagnosed on the same day. Gallbladder removed but her kidney stone couldn’t be removed because they discovered she had a malformed kidney. Almost a year with a large, stuck stone, her kidney had to be removed! She’s now considered Stage 3 kidney disease.

don't do it. it caused me to have delayed reactions and i caused a major car wreck. the Dr's have now reports that I'm allergic to it and to never put me on it again I also had very bad anxiety and bad paranoia. it was horrible . never ever again. I will tolerate a migraine before I ever use that again.

Worked great for my migraines and nerve pain! You do have to titrate up EXTREMELY slowly though to avoid side effects. I am about to go off of it because it is causing urinary frequency and irritation unfortunately. I wish I could stay on it because it works so well with no other side effects
