seeing blatant racism is bad but most racists have subconscious baises that only rlly become clear once u get to know them and most of the time racists will wholeheartedly believe they're not racist

Good advice and you are 100% correct. Some people (most people, probably) will take issue with what you say or find it difficult to accept or understand. But I know you wouldn’t say this without a good reason. And hearing black people speak up about news articles about another black person “going missing” after going somewhere alone with their white “friends”. I completely understand why you have to be so cautious around non-black people. Anyway, stay safe <3

No, because I totally get your point, and honestly, it sucks for the "good" white people too.
I've literally been told that I only got with my boyfriend because I see him as a token, completely out of nowhere, under a random comment section. Then, in another one, there was a Black woman who people kept calling trans or saying "looked like a man." I pointed out that it felt racially motivated, since Black women have historically been masculinized by society. The first reply I got was telling me to stop acting like a white savior.
At this point, I can't even get mad, because I know there really are people who behave like that... people who treat minorities like props just to prove how "woke" they are. It's genuinely sad, and it makes it harder to have honest conversations because people start assuming the worst intentions from everyone.

judging someone by their race and not their actual personal beliefs? sounds like racism. assuming someone is racist bc of their race is very very problematic, and if anything, it causes further division. get to know a person and if they show you that they are racist in any way, shape, or form then leave them. I agree that you should never put your full trust in anyone, but purely bc of their race? that seems very prejudiced to me. also if someone has underlying prejudices, educating them isn't out of the picture.
