![ولسوالی غوربند یکی از ولسوالیهای ولایت پروان، به مرکزیت شهر سیاه گرد در شمال خاوری افغانستان است. غوربند در دامنه جنوبی هندوکش واقع شده و در مرز غربی آن دره باستانی کوه دامن قرار گرفتهاست.[۱] مساحت این ولسوالی ۸۹۹ کیلومترمربع[۲] و جمعیت آن در سال ۱۳۹۹ حدود ۱۰۹٫۳۴۲ نفر میباشد.[۳] این ولسوالی از جنوب با ولایت کابل، از غرب با ولسوالی شینواری، از شرق با ولسوالی سرخ پارسا و شیخعلی و از شمال با ولایت بغلان هممرز است. Ghorband (Persian: غوربند), also known as Syagird[1] after its main town, is a district of Parwan province, Afghanistan. Ghorband is located in the southern foothills of Hindu Kush and forms the western boundary of the ancient valley of Koh Daman.[2] It is located 50 km from Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. The capital lies at the town of Siah Gerd. It is the largest district of the province, covering an area of 899 square kilometres with a population of 74,123 as of 2003.[3] The Ghorband River flows through the district. It contains 58 Community Development Councils and 109 villages.[3] Eventually, Gjorband valley was once much bigger then today reaching to the east Shibar, Doshi and Kahmard districts in Bamyan and Baghlan provinces.
