• Erickson MD-87s (Tankers 101 & 105): Staged out of Abilene (KABI). 3,000 gal capacity per pass for rapid-turn drops along active brush fronts.
• RJ85 / Avro RJ85 Next-Gen Jet Tankers: High-speed 3,000 gal retardant runs reinforcing lines along the HWY 180 and HWY 254 corridors.
WATER SCOOPERS & AMPHIBIOUS FLEET
• CL-415 "Super Scoopers": Skimming ~1,400 gal per pass directly off Possum Kingdom Lake with 3-5 minute turnarounds onto hot spots.
• AT-802F "Fire Boss" Amphibious Scoopers: Working in pairs for targeted ~800 gal water drops in tight canyons and river bends.
COMMAND & TACTICAL CONTROL
• Lead 79 / Air Attack (Beechcraft King Air C90A N61698): Holding orbit at 4,500–5,500 ft over Graford / PK Lake. Directing low-level drops and smoke passes through heavy thermal plumes.

in 1984 on a mutal aid fire in la pine Oregon a plane dropped his load right on us, couldn't see us under tree canopy. it was a bitch to was off and stained our brand new white firetruck pink.
