the show tone downed alisons abilities quite a lot, probably because its a lot more grounded than the comics. in the comics, it wasnt just persuadion/ mind control, she could rewrite reality with her words. whatever she said would become true, like creating a clone of herself, or making herself look like jackie kennedy to get herself in the same car as jfk to kill him. the show kind of implies its still there, in the season 2 opener, but its mostly gone
