@cbcnews: WestJet and the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) reached a tentative deal on Aug. 3, ending a strike that had caused the cancellation of hundreds of flights, leaving passengers stranded and in limbo. CUPE 8125 president Alia Hussain said throughout the strike the parties 'remained at the table' until eventually the 'puzzle pieces came together in a way that made sense for us to take to our membership.'
