I heard this before and I would figure out how much money I had personally added to the joint account. Transfer that amount into my personal account. Then transfer half of the rest into that account as well. Then file for a divorce. I wouldn't go back to work. As the primary care giver and stay at home parent, OP can get child support and alimony. 🤣😂🤣. I wouldn't go back to work until I have to.

She has lost wages and pension funds when she stopped working. Add to this the fact that he lied. All the extra physical and emotional labour that are unpaid and he honors this by witholding 1/4 of his earnings, using her money and saying the can’t afford $38 steak?! This is financial abuse. A good divorce lawyer will be more expensive than those steaks he should have gladly bought. She definitely needs to go back to work and secure the bag for herself - NTA

That’s the end of trust in that relationship. She definitely needs to go back to work. Hiding income is a big 🚩. I’d probably file for divorce.
