Hi Dana! Question…I currently have a 16 month old and she will be starting daycare in October but the past few days she hasn’t really been taking her second nap. I still leave her in her crib because she is calm but is this a sign that she is ready to only have one nap? Did you see signs of wanting to drop a nap with any of your kids? Thanks!

Oh Dana I wish!! My 14 month old needs 7 hours of awake time to take a nap! 6am wake up time and a 1-3pm nap!

My husband was just asking if we should switch our newly 1 year old to one nap now since he’ll be forced into it mid September for preschool and I was like hell no we’re waiting until THAT day lmao

How to know when to cap morning nap? 12 month old sleeps 645pm-630am (which I love) 1 nap for an hour 9-10am (I wake baby up) then 1pm-345pm (usually wake baby up)

As an infant toddler teacher I totally support this! Lots of kids stay on their two naps on weekends, but adapt well to our one nap a day schedule at school. This makes total sense to me for a part time program too!

Can I ask where you live? There’s only daycare programs for my 18 month old at this point - but you keep referring to preschool. I’m in Michigan so I think we have a lot less programs.

13 month old will be going full days 3x a week. 1 nap is offered at daycare. Do I still do 2 naps on the 4 other days of the week? He doesn’t seem ready for 1 nap

After a 10 min car nap at noon they were ready for a nap at 1:15 again?! My son would be feral after a 10 min rest lol

My almost 3 year old is starting in sept! Two 3 hour mornings per week. We’re so excited and ready! No programs like this exist in our area for under age 3. I would’ve loved to send him earlier.

I'm the same way even with my soon to be second grader. One to try to prep her for early bedtimes before school started and now I just don't care. She will be stimulated enough to stay up all day and then get on track the first week of school. She was up until 11pm yesterday and will be down at 7:30 tonight lol
