Honestly I’m so annoyed that they picked Ella Clark because she barley got any play time, why would you pick a player and not give her much play time, they should have picked Alicia Scholes because she could have really made a difference potentially even winning the bronze or closing that 18 goal gap by a lot

There’s a lot of talent in that England team and they had such incredible passages of play. I think it shows incredible resilience and grit to show up every game and give it a crack 🙌 Also, where have you been hiding Lois Pearson?! She would be one of my MVP’s of the whole tournament 😮💨🤌

Jamaica managed it. they did amazing the ladies selected, gave there all, the interim head coach did her best,but ultimately the medalling was down to England Netball and our ex head coach.

Well said. Im also proud of our fern girls with the debacle they went thru. Our coach Noline suspended for 2yrs because of a few ungrateful players who didn't like the way our coach, coached. finally she was re instated and had only 6weeks to prepare the ferns and the rest is history. We won gold

I feel like Amy and Jess got barely any breaks for the whole tournament. They must have been knackered by that last match, and mistakes came as a result. Shame they didn't have another mid courter to keep it fresh.

I think England’s got great players, I just don’t think they have/play with the pizzazz or aggression needed consistently to spar with the top top teams - with a good leader they can deffo do it though!!

Some are saying that the results would be different if Helen Housby was there. I love Helen. I really do. But I don't think she's been in her top form for a while, even before her injury.

my only gripe with the whole tournament as stated by Neville on the off the court podcast was that Cardwell was being treated like a professional bench warmer. she holds the most experience in SSN, the most medals, and beings her own unique attributes to the squad, is clearly committed, just wish she was given more opportunity, I don't think the GS England role is hands down owned by Tchine just yet.

Before you showed the pic of Briony Akle, I was saying this. She's been (rudely) dropped by Swifts but had the last laugh assistant coaching NZ to gold. She is a quality coach and I think she would be fab. Also, despite all the goings on in the background with Netball England and all the changes, and losing two key players to injury, the team did well...especially with a strong South Africa team nipping away close behind. A final note, the strength and depth of the other international teams can be thanks in part to development in the Aussie Super League as they have had players from England, Jamaica, South Africa and Malawi in their teams over the last decade (at least). I don't think this is a bad thing as in the end, netball wins.

you're completely correct we could debate all day long about the decisions made but ultimately its about looking forward now. I think an overseas coach would be awesome ! We need someone with fire in their belly for us ❤️

Spare a thought for the new Zealand girls. They don't even have jobs or a competition to go home too! It's like this accomplishment was absolutely pointless. Netball nz are a joke!
