Removing emotional attatchment to items is extremely hard to learn but helps so much with not only your own clutter, but also It's easier to throw away belongings after someone is gone, so it helps with grief too.

Basically if your storage or drawers felt like a shop😁 I'm really grateful my stuff are always organized and easily accessible and for +12years I have never lost anything and it never took me more than seconds to get what I need out, the secret is to consistently re arrange everything even when it is already organized still take everything out and reorganize everything. If you're not interested in doing that work it's fine something I really thankful for is my motivation to do that

Over the summer, I did a major purge in almost every room in the house. What still needs to be gone thru is the shed & laundry room. It’s 115 in Las Vegas so those will wait until fall.

I like to gamify stuff like this so it feels more fun and less tedious. Did the mins challenge in July and just under 500 items gone from our primary bedroom and ensuite. Next round I’m going to tackle the garage. I have way too much stuff in there.

before guests comes over, changed the dish towels, dish sponge, e.pty the garbage bins, remove all clothes in the living room, refill the toilet rolls, clean toilets and sinks.
