@smithsfamilylife: And just like that, my maternity leave has come to an end. 🩵 Today was my first day back in the office after 14 precious months at home, and I can honestly say I’ve treasured every single moment as I know I have been so lucky to have this much time off. When I had my first son, I went back to work after six months. I was incredibly career-focused and always looking for the next challenge. This time around, though, I’ve realised that there is so much more to life. Of course, I still have ambitions and goals I want to achieve, but this chapter has reminded me just how quickly time passes. The late nights, the cuddles, the ordinary days that somehow become the moments you miss the most – they’re all so precious. It’s also made me realise that work will always be there, but these moments won’t. The extra hours and busy schedules can wait, because our little ones won’t stay little forever 🥺 Now it’s time to start planning our next adventure.
