No, we just find it funny that all of a sudden, tons of young people are coming up with this and thinking they should never have to work again and it’s funny that they keep picking diseases that are very hard to prove you have

Idk why people try to compare chronic fatigue to normal tiredness. I've slept for ten hours straight multiple times and have woken up exhausted. I've tried melatonin. Did nothing. It's genuinely so tiring.

It’s just like headaches vs migraines. These type of people do literally no research, they just assume it’s the same thing. 😒

this is exactly why they never should've changed the name. ME makes way more sense than CFS.

“Chronic” is a key word here guys. It means it doesn’t disappear no matter what you do. Some people who say they have chronic fatigue actually mean they have a debilitating illness known as MECFS while others who say they have chronic fatigue mean they are constantly tired no matter how much rest they get as a symptom of another chronic condition

The difference between tired and fatigue is so fucking drastic and people don’t understand what it is until they feel both

I really wish people took it way more seriously considering it’s often life limiting.

i’m genuinely so confused why is it so hard for people to look things up on the internet themselves before trivializing someone’s illness they know nothing about

perimenopause isnt a "disorder " but it leaves u feeling the same. if youre lucky enough to sleep 5 hours solid, you'll still end up exhausted at 2pm

Even just chronic fatigue as a symptom, not me/cfs, is more than being tired

people who have never suffered with fatigue have no idea how it feels. no it is not the same as being tired.

The fatigue can get so bad that it’s literally hard to breathe. Sometimes I’ll stop breathing until my body forces me to. It’s a level people without this condition can’t understand; even going multiple days without sleep can’t compare to this level of exhaustion.

I have multiple chronic illnesses. I am exhausted 24/7. but I don't have ME. that is in a category on its own and how I feel will never compare.

The thing is that these symptoms are indistinguishable from depression and other types of psychiatric forlornness. In my experience, these patients refuse to even engage with any suggestions about their mental health and refuse to even attempt lifestyle interventions. Many come in already assuming they have ME/CFS and won’t accept any other lines of inquiry (and will even go as far as characterize them as “medical gaslighting”).

I didn't know this was a thing? I thought these types of things were caused by my horrid mental issues? thank you I had no idea Abt this til today
