I’ve been watching you since I was a teenager and I’ve always admired the wife and mother you’ve been. But one thing I’ve never forgotten is the video you made sitting in your car after your divorce. You talked about how you had spent so many years putting your husband and family first and suddenly found yourself having to start over and figure out who you were again. You also spoke about how important it is for women to have something of their own and to be able to take care of themselves. That message stayed with me. I’ve carried it with me throughout adulthood and there have been so many moments in my life when I’ve thought back to everything you said in that video. It reminded me to remain independent, to take care of myself, and never to lose who I am. I’ve always admired you so much and it’s been amazing to watch you find happiness.
