that clock test video of your husband looked fine to me. To me he looked like he was thinking... ok clock...start at the top and start counting 1, 2, 3, etc ..and as he's going he's realizing it looks wrong but he's sure that he started with the right number because theres nothing before 1....and then when you pointed out that he shouldn't start at 1...he had to pause because it challenged what he was sure of, but then he very quickly corrected his error (presumably, there was a video cut). He also probably hasn't looked at a clock in a while because time is very frustrating for people with ADHD so clocks are not something desirable to look at, they're a source of shame. It doesn't make him an idiot, his perception just has a different starting point and he doesn't account for that when solving problems.

I knew a young woman who was married to a naturally combative and unpleasant man. When he developed Alzheimer’s his wife was the last one to notice. She would say things like “he’s been like that all his life”. He was an asshole yes, but he also had Alzheimer’s.
