@designwith_kay: Drumrollllllll pleaseeeeee.... 🥁☺️ I am excited to share my first UX case study -FocusFlow, a student productivity app designed to help university students stay organized, manage academic responsibilities, and collaborate more effectively. The idea for FocusFlow came from a simple observation during user research, students don't struggle because they lack productivity apps...they struggle because their academic lives are fragmented. Assignments are spread across learning platforms, reminders live in different apps, study plans constantly change, and group projects often become chaotic because communication and task ownership happen across multiple channels. FocusFlow brings these experiences together into one centralized platform designed around how students actually work. This project challenged me to think beyond interface design. I conducted user interviews, synthesized qualitative research, developed personas, mapped enterprise-level user flows, designed a scalable information architecture, built a comprehensive design system, and created end-to-end mobile experiences grounded in real user needs. One lesson that stood out throughout this project is that productivity is not about giving users more features, rather it is about reducing cognitive load. When the right information appears at the right time, people spend less energy organizing their work and more time actually getting it done. I'd love to hear your thoughts and feedback.
