As a fellow autistic, I completely understand your. The one and only benefit of legal marriage that I see is being able to come to the hospital to your partner when only family or spouse is allowed in. And also being in a will if something happens to your partner and you build your whole life together. And it’s not me being materialistic, just being pragmatic. So in other words, the only benefits are the legal ones

Girl!! We are 100% on the same page!! It’s crazy! Thank you for sharing this because it’s so validating to hear other autistic women’s thoughts around pregnancy. Because neurotypical people cannot comprehend a woman not desiring to have a child. It’s exhausting trying to defend our very intentional decision! 💜

The amount of times I’ve been called stupid for not wanting to have kids 😭 my mother is probably the only “old school” Mexican who supports my decision. She was confused at first but she now loves the idea of having a choice and not following a forced script

as an autistic who wants kids, I genuinely do not understand neurotypical obsession with OTHER people having kids. you know, some ppl are different and want different things out of life. and that's fine cuz that has nothing to do with me. why would u not wanting kids upset ME??
