I think this is really great parenting. I hate all of the comments saying they’d make a child finish it. Kids (especially toddlers) are learning and exploring. They’re allowed to change their mind. She made a mistake and should be allowed to stop eating it immediately. I like that you let her have the experience without anything negative from you :)

My oldest (now 27) did this with an onion....INSISTED it was an apple...she ate the whole thing. Tears running down her face the whole time. But, she was NOT going to admit defeat 🤣🤣

This is accually really good for her development. Letting kids experience consequences instead of just saying no👍 My aunt would let her son go outside without a jacket if he doesnt want it, because 20 seconds later he still would be back for it, cuz he is cold (Im not saying to let kids run free on a highway for people that like to overinterpretate)
