In a recent interview when the Mirror news anchor asked from andy burnham he spoke about care workers first but the he said this statement as well ”I visit my dad. It's why social care is such a priority for me. But also, I do want to make sure we get fairness in the rules in relation to people who came here in good faith and made a commitment, and I will make sure that we do that” is broader than care workers alone. He did not say’ This fairness will apply only to care workers He also referred to people who came from overseas to work in both the care system and the health system. So politically, the principle he is expressing may be wider people who entered lawfully, followed the rules they were given, and built their lives around a reasonable expectation of settlement should be treated fairly.
