I never understand this multiband system. fill up bin one then bin to then bin three. what difference does it make? it all compost the same. you just need to keep it moist and turned.

So if the grass is dried out… is it still considered the green layer? And if it’s 3 to 1, it’s 3 green and 1 brown? Mowing several acres we have lots and lots of cut grass. No clue what to do with all of it- tried to put it in the garden, but it was too thick and attracted slugs and got slimy and smelled. Don’t want that to happen with the compost too.
