This is my motto at work, and I've given this advice to my husband. I do the things that are important, and I do them my way (with great results). I enthusiastically agree with micro-managers when they tell me to do something stupid or in a specific unnecessary way, and then I just don't do them. They inevitably forget that they asked. 😂
