Man I’ve re wrote my response like 5 different times. His entire rant is flawed from the second he brought up vegeta. Holy moly I have to believe he watched AT through YouTube shorts or something. How he boils down marcelines character to daddy issues that needed affection from a strong lesbian women, when really her relationship with her dad was about boundaries with with an extremely overbearing immortal man who’s genuinely insane, and her relationship with pb was marceline finally finding someone she could relate to, an infinitely loving being that’s been here since the bombs dropped, and this is the only person that knows what marceline feels whenever she thinks about people like Simon. But it only goes so far, pb is a heartless maniac in the beginning but marceline, the literal goth demon girl softens the pink princess to show the contrast. (I’m explaining it so poorly it’s frying me). Their bond comes from mutual understanding of an indescribable loneliness only those two share. As for Simon. You’re completely again misunderstanding the crown and its abilities, you’re thinking of it as something that can just be fixed ? Like they didn’t spent damn near 10 sealskins building up the crown as a super entity powerful weapon that CANT be destroyed unless the literal god of the universe hits the Adam Sandler rewind to bring the magic to its fundemtal beginning, rendering it useless. This is NOT something a vampire queen from Oo that dhirs around with a dog and 12 year old it could handle, so she spent thousands of years roaming the earth with the thought that Simon still exists and she may be the only person to know he did. And if you rellly wanna go there, Simon MULTIPLE times tells marceline as a young girl to GO AWAY from him, not see him again because of the threat he poses. If she came back, that would undermine his entire character up to becoming ice king. It was quite literally his dying wish to never see marceline again. Imagine being an undying vampire, who’s only hope slowly succumbed to magic dementia and cancer, and now roams the earth as a bumbling idiot who will never remember youWhich again feeds into pb and her relationship with her real father.
