I design elearning. We tested a new product that had a clear impact on knowledge transfer and retention. Stakeholders preferred another option because it was (actual quote) “prettier”. Learned a big lesson on UX that day.

never heard of it but i do believe in aesthetic easy on the eyes data and its efficacy. i just always believe that people like looking at it, at a fundamental level and therefore are more likely to absorb it
