it's missing a front leg, very desperate. if you're going to try trapping make sure you offset the trap to the left to get to good leg.

I was outside of my coop painting with my husband and a coyote came out of the woods in the middle of the day and started running after my chickens and was seconds away from our absolutely favorite rooster. the coyote was just a few feet away from us. we jumped up and ran at the coyote screaming. he backed off and left thankfully and no one was hurt. but if you had told me a year before id be running at coyote I wouldve wondered what in the world was wrong with me 😂 things we do for our birds

Looks like two different coyotes. First one had four legs, second only had three. I don’t know what the laws are in your area but snare traps will work if you are allowed to dispatch them. As was said earlier, offset for the left leg.

I see coyotes out in the field all times of the day. Especially in the fall during mating season. They well come and try to lure the female dogs away.
