I've been through this since childhood. I survived at 17? No, I was 16. My father was the perpetrator, so I thought I survived. They told me I did, but I don't feel that way now. I'm 21. I've been to therapy, but it's only made things worse. My mom tried a few days ago to tell me she could help me go to a therapist again, but that's only made me more devastated. Okay? I realize I didn't survive this, but after finishing high school, I couldn't do anything for three years. I was in more pain than ever, but I kept quiet because I know how much my mom suffers because of my brothers. I don't want to be another burden on her, but I'm a human being too. I just wish they would understand that. I'm not asking for anything else.
