this honestly sucks bc it does resonate. my ex genuinely drained me the entire relationship and made me think that we were growing better together, and that I was just going through a rough patch with my old job. but then he goes around and dumps me stating that he never saw a future with me and that he wanted someone else who better aligns with him, after a full year of being together. it sucks bc I did get played, but everything genuinely did start going my way after we broke up.
