All people should stand with the native people, she’s right , we need to protect this land. The governments will destroy the land and then leave the people with nothing. Start speaking up now don’t just leave it to one brave native lady to do all the talking , HELP HER.

When we say it’s my land, we don’t mean singular land, we are saying this for your future grandkids and the more to come. If we don’t protect the land. The land won’t protect us!!

If we let Indigenous leadership of the land, the grandfather principles would apply to governance and every decision would have to demonstrate it's a good decision for 5 generations. This is the wisdom the Western world lacks so much, that it's killing and destroying life on Earth. She 💯 right

people do not know real history. it is erased and rewritten for convenience. that's why books are banned. knowledge is power and we are taught to be ignorant.

Fucking Right !! I felt her anger. This gave me goosebumps, a lump in my throat, a tear in my eye. She said exactly how I feel deep down in my heart, took the words right out of my mouth and this is probably how most Indigenous people feel who otherwise don't know how to express it. We are the stewards of the land, and treaties were put in place for a good reason. This phrase is a sacred promise in most of the treaty agreements to live alongside each other in peace and harmony is meant to last 'as long as the sun shines, the grass grows, and the river flows' as stated in treaty 1 and treaty 6 in Canada. It represents the enduring nation-to-nation relationship regarding land use, rights and mutual support. However, with that said, they need to do better and do more to live up to their end of the bargain and be more committed in respecting and keeping our land, turtle island, beautiful and safe from over-use, depletion, and disasters that can be avoided that destroy our environment, poison the ecosystem which drastically affects our way of living. Water is Life. Mino-Bimaadiziwin. Which means 'the good life' or 'living life in a good way'. It's an Anishinaabe phrase meant for leaders who serve the community to help them lead in a good way, making decisions with pure intent, integrity, and consideration for future generations, notably 7 generations. And remember to exercise the 7 grandfather teachings. Ahow miigwetch (thank you) for standing up and speaking the truth 🪶

her broken angry voice hurts me and I hope she's heard, she's fucking loud and should be. our generational anger is bottled into our children and we are never listened to. thank you to the fire fighters fighting the Wrights spring fire
