I believe it starts with our culture of acceptance that boys are ready for sex at any age. My oldest son at 14 looked 18 and adult women would flirt with him in front of me. I shut it down! Absolutely Not going to talk to my son like that! The difficulty was I tried to talk to him but he said “let’s let Dad have the sex talk with me, I can’t talk to you about this.” I tried! He’s fine, maybe he’s 25, but I think he just grew up too fast. I did my best.😅💕

I actually started noticing things in the late 70s when my brother was dating a teacher aide in our small highschool. A highschool cheerleader was dating a football coach/math teacher and they married immediately after she graduated. The whole town knew and accepted it. Then I watched a married sheriff date a highschool cheerleader when my daughter was in highschool and everyone either accepted or pretended that he was just helping the little orphan girl. A family helped her get to college far away so she could be free,the sheriff's wife divorced him and he didn't run for reelection but NOTHING was done. Sadly those aren't the only cases I know about and that is from only 2 small school districts in Texas.
