The irony is hard to ignore…. this case is centered around a woman who repeatedly told her husband and medical providers that she was not okay. Yet watching Dr. Kelly Mc Don Recall testify, it was hard not to notice the contrast in her demeanor, appearing far more engaged and comfortable, even laughing and smiling with the prosecution than with the defense. In a case about a woman whose cries for help are at the center of the conversation, watching a physician’s testimony leave so many viewers questioning whether women’s voices are truly being heard feels like a painful reminder of the very problem this case has exposed. South Shore Hospital needs to do better.

The judge should have struck her testimony from the record and had her stand down to review her notes until she actually 'recalled.' Allowing someone to hide behind unpreparedness and evasive answers without facing a contempt charge just turns the court into a farce.
