i don’t really think she’s masc at all im ngl, ive never really seen anyone call mei a masculine woman their just all girls to me like what 😭 i feel lik a lot of yall get upset abt that one twitter artist just cuz she draws her as a top in most situations. top ≠ masculine and neither does having a more avoidant personality either which mei does in later parts of the game.

mei is such a sweet and gentle character, people only masculinize her due to when she was colder when she was HoT while her colder and harsher personality at that time was completely valid considering what she was going through..??? during the ER arc you can already notice her softening again and by the time she reunites with Kiana and becomes HoO shes back to show her gentle and caring personality more again, just because shes strong people masculinize her and it pisses me off

I swear, she was never really that masculine to begin with. Pre nagazora arc, Mei was literally the epitome of femininity from the way she spoke, acted and dressed. Near the end of the nagazora arc (and onwards), Mei actually made a change and took a stand for what she knew was right, instead of blindly following people and being timid like she was before. I think that’s where people get her masculinity from, but just because a woman actually changes and stands up for herself, she isn’t instantly masculine. Even in the following story, Mei was still really the same person in terms of her personality. The only thing that changed was the way she expressed herself, because she grew up and changed. First it was himeko, then it was mei, now it’s elysia. I’m actually so tired
