Mmmm I appreciate ur approach and nuance and willingness to explore this without running to conclusions abt bi men or gay men. (I’m gay btw) Now, technically this is rooted in biphobia/homophobia and stereotypes or rhetoric that has been said abt lgbt for decades now. Now, I get u and I can agree that morality witchunting is not right and labeling someone RIGHT AWAY as a bigot or homophobe is the wrong approach and will not sit well with ppl. But on the same note let’s also say that women running to “coercion from bi men” is the underlying motive. That’s absolutely not true. I mean at least from what I’ve seen thru this whole discourse. It’s not even abt dating even, it’s abt how much this discourse has exposed by straight women saying they won’t date bi men - in that all their answers lead back to disgust, stereotypes, harmful rhetoric, insecurity, or ideas abt what contaminates and tarnishes a man’s masculinity once he is with a man. And it assumes those men are no longer real or worthy masculine men. And as a gay man, it’s just super gross offensive and tbh … hurtful and yes, it is harmful and heartbreaking to know that straight women, who I’ve always felt safe with actually thought these things abt me. And looking back the lil things they’d say or act toward me or have their bf say or act around me and not defend me or just switch up on me etc etc all make sense tbh. So ngl I feel betrayed. Now it wouldn’t be fair of me to generalize every straight women, bc I’m also enlightened by all the straight women and ppl standing up to and helping understand this as well. Idk, just thought I’d share how it is harmful and stuff. And on ur video, idk what u wanted to say ur reason was but I was intrigued of why u couldn’t rlly articulate it … but anyways ya. Just remember similar rhetoric tactics were used on other groups, including women. Straight men even used preference to justify discrimination and women were up in arms. And I’m not arguing men or gay/bi men can’t be misogynistic they for sure can. But this issue, at its core is lgbt’s and im sorry but the ladies, esp the straight ladies need to let us have our moment bc it’s disheartening to kno ppl think this sti
