It's also the fact that after COVID, the popular kids who used to bully us for the things we liked actually started getting in this "weird" stuff because they had nothing else to do so now they realize it's actually good, but they're still trying to reinforce the hierarchy that they had in high school and before this so now, we just have an influx of mean kids in our fandoms that try to reinstate the hierarchy that they're missing💀😭

Can we please stop using the term larp/larper in incorrect context and just use the word poser. Because LARPING is an actual thing that some nerds do (which can be totally fun and safe as long as everyone abodes by the rules) and by using those terms in a negative way just feeds into all of this bullshit and stigma. Just say the word poser or fake, when thats what you really mean, its just that simple.

Saw a post about a dad who was upset about gender neutral bathrooms at Metrocon. Keep in mind that Metrocon is LGBTQIA+ friendly and that there were only TWO gender neutral bathrooms in the entire convention building and it was in the furthest back of artist alley

I really don’t think we should blame newer fans coming to these spaces we should blame the people are going to these spaces and making fun of others these space should be a place where people can express themselves without feeling judged but I feel like people in the comments are trying to blame new fans or “popular kids” for joining fandoms in 2020 instead of people purposely going out of there way to go to these places to make fun of others
