You can get permanent marker off by scribbling over it in permanent marker and wiping off immediately! <3 Teacher since 1995.

Use a dry erase expo marker. Color over the sharpie and wipe off

Yes, dry erase over top, it’ll come right off! Good luck this year! As someone who was a teacher but found a corporate job in March, I’m so jelly of these posts. I kinda miss it.

I have used hand sanitizer to get sharpie off. Let it sit for a minute and might have to do it a few times but it works

For the permanent marker, use rubbing alcohol to get it off the dry erase board. Works like a charm. I used to do it all the time at a former job.

Rubbing alcohol and some elbow grease, has always worked for me to get sharpie off.

I’m not a teacher but at my work we use ziploc bags for stuff and we use hand sanitizer to get Sharpie off the bags to reuse them. Let it sit for a minute or two and it should come right off. I would suggest using a crumpled piece of paper to help wipe it off. It kinda acts like an abrasive. Works like a charm!
