Complete unrelated but ive seen some of your old post about gpas and them getting into top schools often tho being a surprise and like 3.7 uw and I am curious were these decisions ED or RD I noticed most of them are RD, I am one of these student snd had some unfortunately circumstances like family member dying and also legal court cases and proceeding all of HS so it’s been quite a ride but this has led to me question wether if my application is take more serious ea or rd or it doesn’t matter!

Hi! I’m a freshman in college and I’m thinking about transferring to UIUC for engineering after one or two years, because of the poor funding at my current university. I have 3.53 uw gpa and a 4.44 w gpa, I have mid ec’s, and I’m thinking about retaking the act, since I got a 28. So I was thinking if you had anything tips on how to make my application more competitive and if you think it would be a smart idea to apply after one year of college. I would very much appreciate any advice, thank you!!

Hey! Throughout my high school career, i have gotten straight A's in all of my classes, but had a couple A- in english-related subjects. In all of my other classes, including hard AP courses, I have consistently earned A’s. However, english is my second language and i don’t have that many years speaking it. I was just wondering if that could have any negative impact on my application😭
