POV you spin upside down toward the ground on purpose😝 Every pilot who decides to become a certified flight instructor (which most do, to build their hours for the airlines), must first do “spin training.”🌀 A spin happens when you stall an airplane (airflow disconnects from the wing and drops you through the sky) while uncoordinated, leading to you literally spinning upside down around and around toward the ground. (If you look at my cover photo, at the instruments, you'll see the brown is above the blue.. in other words, the sky is beneath us😅) This is something that could happen while your student is practicing stall recovery or while turning in to land at the airport🫨 So it is PIVOTAL that instructors know how to get out of it quickly! I’m not going to lie, I was nervous to do my spin training, and after my instructor did the first one, I literally said “I don’t know if I can do that.”🧍🏼‍♀️But I took a deep breath and did it anyway. And WOW it was so fun!! You have to work so hard to purposefully get into a spin💪🏻 And it recovered pretty quickly once I put the correct inputs in. Part of the recovery is actually pushing the nose down until you are staring at the ground, and the plane stops spinning in circles. Which can feel counterintuitive but wow it works! I ended up doing 3 because it was so exhilarating and it felt good to practice and be ready for anything!⚡️ Grateful for my amazing instructor who makes everything fun and always calms my nerves!🩷 I’m feeling more and more ready to instruct others by the minute! My CFI checkride is in a week and then I can officially teach people to fly!✈️ #cfi #flightschool #spintraining #femalepilot #flightinstructor
