Anyone considering back surgery, don’t do it!!! I would in Pain Management for 15 years. We saw so many patients that had back surgery and it made everything worse. One man ended up in a wheelchair and another man dragged his left foot after surgery. There are a lot of nerves that are connected around the spinal cord and they can very easily be snipped. Also, the scar tissue can cause worse problems that you already had.

The AI is inaccurate- the artificial disc rests on the bony end plates of the vertebrae not on the discs. Also, in the video the vertebrae is being removed instead of the disc. All inaccurate.

I had this done in my neck in 2003 but they used cadaver bones and a titanium plate. I don't have neck pain it did not affect my range of motion... best thing I've ever done

My spine fusion don’t do it! It does NOT help it transfers the pain and pressure to the above and below disks. Now I have nervous system issues and migraines with vomiting daily. Can’t sleep a full night and my arms are still numb

The surgery eliminated the pain, but I can't bend down or do normal things. Think carefully if you are considering this surgery. For me, it was a very sad experience.

My neighbor a doctor and a team of doctors are working on a new disc replacement technology for L-4 L-5 discs that will be life changing for many people. So far it seems to be going well. They use cadavers currently for surgical procedures. Those control the nerves in your legs mostly. It will relieve back pain also.

Mi padre lo operaron en Cuba de hernia discal lumbar hace más de 40 años, una herida de 13 puntos pero una operación perfecta, no le pusieron nada artificial, pero lo que se es que antes las crisis eran repetidas y ya no se sentía los dedos de los pies y después de esa operación su vida ha sido normal y hasta fuerza ha hecho y con sus 76 años anda en un bicicleta todo el tiempo y sin dolores. El ortopédico que lo operó era muy famoso y de verdad que se merecía ese mérito, mi padre es prueba de eso

Any type of back surgery should be considered an absolute last resort. There’s just as good of chance that you’re gonna be 100x worse off than it is to help you.
