During the search, officers discovered Sabine alive inside the concealed dungeon, along with another captive, 14-year-old Laetitia Delhez. In 2004, Sabine courageously testified against Dutroux during his trial. He was ultimately convicted of multiple kidnappings, assaults, and the murders of four other young victims before receiving a life sentence.
