@caes__closet: Fellow graves and hashimotos girlies. I wanna chat 💬 also- anyone who’s had their thyroid removed I need to know everything. #gravesdisease #hashimotos #thyroidectomyjourney #thyroidproblems
Graves girly here, so unfortunately the severity of graves was not explained to me when i was diagnosed 18 months ago. I’ll be having my thyroid out due to graves affecting my heart and also eyes. I know it’s hard to make a choice but living with no thyroid is better than permanent damage being done that can be prevented 🖤

Alyssa :
I had my thyroid removed in April, due to a large nodule in my isthmus and abnormal biopsy. I also have hashimotos. I ended up having papillary thyroid cancer. Honestly I haven’t noticed much of difference. I do feel better, just maybe a little more sleepy? But my meds are still being figured out. And my neck is very sensitive at the incision site. But otherwise, it’s been great!! And recovery was so easy. If you have any other questions you can message me!
