I don’t think they fully remember, I think Jean’s hold over them brought back fragmented memories, just bits and pieces, which is why she was at their old hang out spot holding the necklace he gave her at the end of the movie. She doesn’t fully remember but she’s beginning to get pieces back.

She cried because either of 2 things, 1. She was stuck in that phrase where couldn’t move and almost died 6 times within that 24 hrs. Option 2, Jean also included MJ to seeing Peter memories, and what traumatic experiences. She could not bring back MJ memories, because it’s completely empty
