Nothing glamorous or cutesy about losing control of your muscles, food being your only thought all the time, hiding or hoarding food, isolating and staying inside all the time and having to have multiple blood tests, ECGs, weight checks every week. It’s fine to have a community to not feel alone but the nonstop glamorising of this disorder hides the true reality of the suffering that will come from it.
