@yassi_x_: if you’re starting your first job or a new job soon (yay!), don’t forget to max out your 401k contributions if you can. here are a few things I was confused about at 22 (this is not financial advice): 1. What’s the optimal strategy? Contribute AT LEAST the minimum amount to get the full company match! Otherwise you’re actually just leaving money on the table for no reason 2. Difference between a traditional 401k and a Roth 401k? I explain this in the video, as well as what I elected 3. Should I max out my first year working? If you’re starting mid-year and can afford to, front-loading your contributions and living a little below your means for a few months can help you hit the max for the calendar year; but it’s also totally normal to not max out if you need disposable income to cover expenses & debt #PersonalFinance #401k #money #firstjob #newjob
