@lockst4r: 🔐 LATE NIGHT EMERGENCY LOCKOUT IN WEST HOLLYWOOD 🌙 The customer had the right key and it was working the lock… but the door WOULD NOT open. 😳 After inspecting it, we found the real problem: a screw behind the mortise cylinder had come loose and completely JAMMED the lock. The customer tried to get in and ended up breaking the key inside the cylinder. We extracted the broken key 🔑 and tried the spare… still nothing. At that point, there was no picking this one. We had to drill the lock to gain entry. But the job wasn’t over. The cylinder was jammed so badly we couldn’t even remove it. We had to grind it down enough to get a grip, remove the damaged cylinder, and install a new mortise cylinder. Best part? We keyed the new cylinder to the customer’s EXISTING KEY. 🔥 No extra keys to carry. Put everything back together, tested it, and the door was working perfectly again.
