@artem_pankovich: Helicoil Oil Pan Thread Repair Step by Step. • A stripped oil drain plug thread is one of the most common problems found during engine servicing. In this video, I demonstrate the proper way to repair damaged oil pan threads without replacing the entire oil pan. • The exact cause of the failure is unknown. According to the previous mechanic, the drain plug was extremely tight and the aluminum threads came out together with the plug during removal. Whether that was the real cause or not, the vehicle arrived with completely damaged drain plug threads that required professional repair. • This repair is performed on a 2014 Smart Fortwo. Unlike many vehicles, the original drain plug on this engine includes a built-in metal mesh screen that acts as an additional oil pickup filter. • Because of this design, installing a longer oversized repair plug is not an option. Although the oil pan has enough thread depth, a longer plug could interfere with the oil pickup passage and affect engine lubrication. • The correct solution is to restore the original thread using a professional thread repair insert (Helicoil). This allows the factory drain plug to be reused while restoring the original thread size and strength. • In this video, I show the complete repair procedure step by step. nice and professional work but aren't that bush installed with a thread locker on it so next time when you open plug that bush won't come off with plug

and this is absolutely the wrong way to fix it. that pan should come off and then you fit it the same way flush all METAL SHAVINGS out and then reinstall.....

Zuerst men Stück Papiertücher oder Lappen ins Loch, dann kommen keine Späne in die Ölwanne.
