After 10years of marriage, still no child! Like there isn’t a million homeless one in need of homes in sabo or they would help train the child “Haba na, don’t you want me to hold my grand child, I’m not getting any younger” were her ringtones and alarm clock. Every meetings and gatherings “Oh, your kids must be grown, they overseas?” With a smile she would always say “no kids for now but soon” Bear in mind people, she was 39 and her husband uncle Jamil was 42! They visited doctors, nurses, still nothing! They took her to all mosques, churches, shrines and nothing. I remember her carrying a sacrifice naked mid day to appease the gods and still nothing. The last straw was when her mother-in-law said they go visit this sanctuary at Apata, they cures witches and gives barren women children! What didn’t they do to her that day, kicking, screaming, punching. Fast forward three days later she was found dead in a motel hanging from a ceiling fan. See, here’s the twist only me and you know. Aunty Chioma had no womb, she was raped at 7 and that led to some other issues, and she never told no one! On the other end her husband Uncle Jamil was infertile, he found out about this two years into their marriage and never spoke!
